Cheap and Dirty Structures This project was a one week collaboration between the Royal College of Art and the Design Research Lab at the Architects Association. We were given a specific quantity of MDF and a set of rules which asked us to connect 3 points within a space. We needed a structure which would not use any large sheets of material so we built a pseudo-tensegrity module which could be used in series to span the space. Scrap to scrap in one week. Cheap and really, really dirty. |
